When a Mother’s Intuition Led Us Somewhere Different: Our Biomagnetism Journey
As moms, we become experts at reading our children. We know their smiles, their cries, their energy, and when something just isn’t right.
One of the biggest lessons motherhood has taught me is to trust that intuition.
Recently on the Mom-Life Podcast, I had the opportunity to sit down with biomagnetism practitioner Moses Durazo to talk about parenting, wellness, and why more families are exploring holistic approaches alongside traditional healthcare. We discussed everything from stress and hormones to sleep, prevention, and empowering families to become active participants in their health journey.
But one story will always stay close to my heart.
My Three-Year-Old Son’s Story
When my youngest son was three years old, he began experiencing ongoing stomach issues. Like any parent, I took him to his pediatrician searching for answers.
Despite multiple visits, I felt we still weren’t getting to the root cause of what he was experiencing. As a mom, it was incredibly frustrating watching my child struggle while feeling like something was being overlooked.
Wanting another perspective, I began working with a holistic pediatrician and sought biomagnetic therapy with Moses Durazo.
Through additional evaluation, we learned that my son’s symptoms were associated with stomach parasites—something that had not been identified during our previous medical visits. After following the care plan recommended by his healthcare providers, including biomagnetic therapy as part of his wellness approach, his health improved dramatically.
Watching him regain his energy, appetite, and joyful personality was one of the greatest gifts I’ve experienced as a mother.
This is our family’s personal experience, and while every child is different, it reminded me that sometimes it’s okay to ask more questions, seek second opinions, and explore complementary approaches when appropriate.
What Is Biomagnetism?
Biomagnetism is a complementary wellness practice that uses pairs of magnets placed on specific areas of the body with the goal of supporting the body’s biochemical balance. Practitioners believe these placements can help restore pH balance and support the body’s natural healing processes. During our conversation, Moses explained that professional biomagnetic therapy involves individualized assessment rather than simply placing magnets wherever there is pain.
Many people seek biomagnetism after struggling with chronic symptoms, digestive concerns, stress, hormone imbalances, fatigue, or recurring health challenges. While research on biomagnetism is still limited, many individuals report positive personal experiences using it as part of an integrative wellness plan.
Motherhood Changes Everything
One of my favorite moments from the podcast was talking about how motherhood changes us.
As moms, we become advocates.
We become researchers.
We become the voice our children don’t yet have.
Sometimes that means following conventional medical advice. Other times, it means asking another question, seeking another opinion, or exploring complementary therapies while continuing to work with qualified healthcare professionals.
I’ve learned that those choices don’t have to compete with each other.
Healing Is About the Whole Person
Another topic we discussed was how stress affects every aspect of our health—from hormones and digestion to sleep and emotional well-being. So often we’re taught to treat isolated symptoms instead of looking at the whole picture.
Whether it’s better nutrition, improved sleep, counseling, biomagnetism, exercise, prayer, or partnering with trusted healthcare providers, I believe healing often involves caring for the whole person.
My Hope for Other Moms
My goal isn’t to convince anyone to choose one path over another.
It’s simply to encourage mothers to stay curious, ask questions, trust their instincts, and advocate for their families.
Our experience with biomagnetism became one chapter in our family’s health journey, and I’m grateful for the people who helped us find answers when we needed them most.
Every family’s story is different.
But if sharing ours encourages even one mom to keep searching for answers with compassion, wisdom, and hope, then it’s worth telling.
Because sometimes, a mother’s intuition is the beginning of a breakthrough.
